This 2-day adventure takes you from the vibrant city of Marrakech to the iconic Ait Benhaddou, through the breathtaking landscapes of the Atlas Mountains, and into the heart of the Sahara. Ride camels across golden dunes, watch mesmerizing sunsets, and immerse yourself in the timeless beauty of Morocco’s desert
Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Desert (Erg Chigaga or Merzouga)

Depart from Marrakech towards Ait Benhaddou, passing through the scenic High Atlas Mountains.

Arrive at Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore this iconic fortified village. Wander through its narrow streets and climb to the top for panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with traditional Moroccan dishes such as tagine or couscous.

Continue the journey towards the desert, driving through the Draa Valley, known for its palm groves and kasbahs.

Arrive at the desert camp (either in Erg Chigaga or Merzouga). Take a camel trek into the dunes to witness a breathtaking desert sunset.

Enjoy a traditional Berber dinner at the camp, accompanied by local music, and spend the night in a comfortable tent under the starry sky.

Day 2: Desert – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Wake up early for a camel ride to catch the stunning sunrise over the dunes, as the colors of the sand shift with the rising sun.

Return to the camp for a traditional Moroccan breakfast.

Depart from the desert towards Ouarzazate, passing through scenic landscapes and small villages.

Visit the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate, one of the most famous kasbahs in Morocco, known for its impressive architecture.

Enjoy lunch in Ouarzazate, savoring more traditional Moroccan cuisine.

Continue the drive back to Marrakech, passing through the High Atlas Mountains and enjoying the dramatic views along the way.

Arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon.
